In Time

From future which I have not now
Nor a means or ways of how
To bridge this gap of void unfilled
‘Cept blocks of time with which to build

Forged in stone the clock does turn
This tide of time to float and learn
As waves of days flow gently by
Each kiss hello, each kiss goodbye

Wanting, waiting this time to be
Passed quiet into life’s history
For fate arrives far too soon
How why it be, this day in June

Alas, the ticks of clocks do sound
From Swiss-made time each second pound
Away this time of dreadful wait
To seal this day — to bridge our fate

Until this day which is so near
Where live shall we and have you here
These days shall pass as with the tide
When kiss goodnight, you by my side
